Overview

The purpose of the first dissertation course is to ensure that EdD students complete their data collection and analyze their findings. Students consult with JIU statisticians to ensure rigor and accuracy in reporting of results.

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  • Explore what the experts say about data collection and analysis of data.
  • Critically analyze the strengths and limitations of various data collection and analysis processes.
  • Continue to collect and analyze data.
  • Reflect on perceived challenges and gaps of knowledge that propel the efforts in the next dissertation course.
