Ms. Macfarlane has been teaching at Jones International University for four years and is also on the faculty of the School of Medicine, University of Colorado Denver. She teaches several courses at Jones and just recently revised Art 101.
A trained medical illustrator with an interest in education and educational technology, she is currently studying the value of dual coding theory in science education.
Ms. Macfarlane is interested in the intersection between art and science and co-curated the Art in Science | Science in Art exhibit at the University of Colorado.
She volunteers in several public education programs including the University of Colorado Mini Med School and the Denver Café Scientifique.
